Good morning everyone.
Firstly, sorry I’m writing in English, I live in the Netherlands but my Dutch is very basic so far!
I have a 3L with 430,000km and a manual gear change conversion and chip tuned ecu. I drive regularly from Epe to West Yorkshire via the channel tunnel and the car has been the best car I’ve ever had. I run at 3.5 economy on Dutch roads and 3.6 in england and can get from Epe to my English place on one tank of fuel!!!!!!!! Amazing.
Are there members meets or do you recommend a club with 3L meets?
I’ve got a few clunks I’m worried about but I’ll post that on another topic section.
Kind regards - James

Re: English man with 3L hello!
Hi James,
welcome to the forum, we are not active that much due to the age of the vehicles, as most are of such an age that they have succumbed to call of the scapyard, MOT-failures and/or parts not being available at reasonable price or just not at all...
I love Yorkshire, it's beautiful up there, having lived in the West Midlands myself I have traveled the UK myself. Currently moving into differing vehicles too
Please report your transmission adventure as I'm sure there is a fix for it.
Cheers, Melvin / Nietsnut

Hi Johan.
No worries thanks for letting me know.
I actually found one problem and fixed it this afternoon so I’ll post a revised question.

Re: English man with 3L hello!
Hi Melvin.
Thanks for the welcome.
It’s a pity they are going to scrap these days, they will be collectable semi classics before you know it. I used to be in the Manta scene when younger and I was often given cars for free. Now they command silly prices. Maybe I should start collecting 3L’s
I’ll repost my current troubles on the other topic
Kind regards
James
